Calling All Tutors!

Hey! You all have great stories to tell. Please share your successes, mishaps, and annecdotes with others. Project: LEARN is all about people connecting. We use the tutor/student relationship as the basis of our connections but that relationship leads to all kinds of shared joys and adventures. Tell your stories and share them with other tutors. Have your students tell of a memorable experience and make blogging your lesson of the day. Let's fill this blog with all the great stories of Project: LEARN in Medina County.

Book Recommendation

I just read a great book that I found at The BookShelf! I was lucky enough to attend the library's authors luncheon to hear Lisa Black speak. She has written under two names, Lisa Black and Elizabeth Becka. At The BookShelf I found a hard copy of "Trace Evidence," her first book. Her character, Evelyn James, is a forensic trace evidence expert just as Lisa Black is in real life. For those of us who find CSI, Bones, and Patricia Cornwall books (her early ones) fascinating, this book is sure to please. Lisa (Elizabeth)'s books take place in Cleveland because she was from here originally and loves the historic flavor of the city. "Trace Evidence" takes place in the cold month of November and the villain is dropping young women into the icy Cuyahoga wearing cement overshoes. The serial killer gets lots of attention when the mayor's daughter turns up dead. Plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested. I plan to read all her books (There are four.) and this one is now available at the Medina BookShelf.
